Sadhana NYC Center for Yoga, Ayurveda and Indian Music
315 West 76th Street
New York, New York 10023
Originally, Indian Classical music was played in the intimate setting of the living quarters of the Maharaja or Nawab. Because this music is so deep and improvisational in nature, the audience plays a large role in the way the raga is spontaneously rendered by the artist.
We are so fortunate to have one of the foremost sitarists of our time, Pandit Krishna Bhatt as our featured maestro for this concert!
Hailing from five generations of musicians, Krishna has music imbedded deep in his genes. After initial training with his father, Pandit Shashi Mohan Bhatt, he went on to become a direct disciple of the greatest Indian musicians of our time - Pandit Ravi Shankar, Pandit Nikhil Bannerjee, and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan.
After the concert, enjoy a sumptuous healthy dinner, and juicy conversation over a glass of wine with other music lovers and kindred spirits, and deepen your connection to our community!
